OUR STORY
HOT•BED is a new creative venture that explores the relationship between art, design & horticulture.
Established in 2017, HOT•BED is a gallery and creative lifestyle space in Philadelphia that unites art, horticulture, and design. Helmed by Creative Director, Bryan Hoffman, HOT•BED is a catalyst and a conduit for futures not yet realized. It’s a gathering place, not unlike the Paris Salons of the Nineteenth century, where visitors and artists alike have the opportunity to collaborate, exhibit, and explore new ideas in a welcoming and judgment-free environment.
Hoffman created HOT•BED to be an alternative to the traditional white-box gallery—a place where art, design, and horticulture collide. A clubhouse of cool, HOT•BED bridges the gap between creative spheres through exhibitions, artist studio space, and events. HOT•BED is Philadelphia’s horticultural oasis, featuring an ever-changing curation of organic materials. Visitors of HOT•BED can discover artwork among furniture and plant pairings that evoke a complimentary design aesthetic. HOT•BED invites community and creative collaboration into all aspects of their curatorial process. Almost more importantly than what guests come to experience, however, is the connection that is built between people.
HOT•BED is ever evolving, transforming its environment and surroundings constantly to incite new thinking. This commitment to innovation is at the core of everything HOT•BED does, and its space and expertise is used to help others experiment and channel their ideas tangibly.
