HOT•BED is pleased to present Growth Determined a multi-disciplinary exhibition featuring works by contemporary sculptor Francis Beaty, mixed media artist Kate Norris, and visual artist Gregory Brellochs, curated by HOT•BED’s own Bryan Hoffman. Originally slated for a March 2020 opening, the exhibition will land at HOT•BED in person and online on September 12, 2020.

How much of what we experience is by design? Growth Determined explores the theme of transformative growth, a topic of poignant relevance to the gallery and the world during an increasingly textured moment in time.

Originally dreamed up as an exploration of the call to self-actualize that has driven living things throughout history, Growth Determined’s focus has sharpened alongside the changes in our collective experience. As human beings, we possess the unique ability to choose our mindset. The “growth determined” mindset exists as a choice in a world of freedom where all mindsets are possible, accepted, and explored. We choose the “growth determined” mindset to deliver the future we want – as opposed to mindsets based on present day realities that choose us.

HOT•BED is a gallery, event venue and artist studios in Center City, Philadelphia that explores the relationship between contemporary art and nature.

In person gallery hours are available by appointment only Wednesday-Friday from 5-8 PM and Saturday 1-8 PM.
